No Freaking Wonder

It was 81 degrees in Austin yesterday.

Then, last night.....THIS

It's no freaking wonder I'm sick.

**To my friends and family in Michigan who are going to tell me to shut up because it's been snowing there for a month already and I used to be used to it and blar blar blar, I say the following: 1) I'm not complaining about the snow...it was actually quite lovely (while it lasted for all of 20 minutes) and 2) SAVE IT. You come live in a warm climate for 2 and a half years and tell me your blood doesn't thin out.

Cross Austin of the list of places to retire. When I move there had better be no snow EVER again! :-) Get well!

I'm sure your Austin friends will hate me for asking this but I have to. Did the city shut down . . . people stop driving . . . schools close, etc? "Warm Climate" people are just delicate peaches right Chip. ;) Love ya!

Marcie..as a warm climate friend..Let me tell, the first year caps moved down here..I thought she was going to laugh herself back up to Michigan..we had an "Ice Storm" and the city closed down..and I do mean the whole city closed down for 2 days...

the last time it didn't we had over 700 accidents in morning rush hour alone! =)

Oh and Caps..if you only knew how bad I wanted to go out and play in the snow last night. Mr. Cheeto still hasn't forgiven me for waking him up 4 years ago at 3 am when we got 3 inches of snow in Feb.

That's insane and quite the drop in temperature...it takes the mitochondria in my skin to get used to the temp changes like that.

We had crazy stuff here in Kansas too ~ 60 on Monday.......yesterday snowin' and a blowin' and 1 1/4" snow.....it's sunny today, but still cold.

Hope you get to feeling better soon Cappy.

Who would have thought that it would ever snow in Austin? Love the great big snowflakes! :)

Snow in TEXAS?? What is the world coming to?? Well, you just keep your snow on that side of the border - we don't need it here! People here can barely drive in the rain, much less in snow. And then there'll be a bread and milk shortage in every grocery store . . .

Caps:
No Kidding!! My family in KC gave me tons of "shut up it was almost 20 degrees here and you are yipping about 20 minutes of snow!" It was pretty... right until I remembered I threw out my ice scraper when I moved South :-)
Hope you are feeling better.

Have fun!!! I understand if you can't do it because you are digging you way out of the snow in your driveway. :)
